Our Appleton, WI bed and breakfast inn features four elegant theme guest rooms and suites. We offer well-appointed rooms and suites with period antiques and modern amenities. Here are the following brief descriptions of each to help you make the best decision for your needs:
-
Turret Suite Royale-be the king and the queen of this full floor castle with a queen bed, fireplace, whirlpool, private bath, vaulted ceiling with skylight, dining in the tower and living room…it is as enchanting as it suggests...tis your crowning experience…and they lived happily ever after!
-
Franklin Grand Suite-a romantic retreat to experience today’s luxury life style with a queen bed, fireplace, whirlpool and private bath, in-room dining...all in the elegance of the nineteenth century.
-
Rhodes Room-a quaint and cozy queen bedroom with hand painted furniture and desk. The three turret window area radiates the morning light which makes this room oh so cheery! This private bathroom includes a shower.
-
Lawrence Room– provides Victorian charm while offering a choice of bed set-ups to suit the guest’s needs: two twins or king. The original maid’s bedroom offers one incredibly deluxe private bathroom with a two person shower, soaking tub, vanity, bidet, and a full wall of mirrors.
The pleasant aroma of food radiates through the inn because some type of food is pretty much always being prepped, cooked or baked in our kitchen...welcome treats, bedtime snacks, the innkeeper’s supper, or our guest’s many course breakfast.
We are very proud of our kitchen, small, but cheery. Three of its best features are the original pantry cabinets, the two etched glass windows, and the Italian tumbled marble wall of tiles with Raphael angels. One couple about eight years ago gifted the Franklin Street Inn with this art. Our goal is to always live up to the theme of "heavenly" food creations!
Our rates include a full home-cooked gourmet breakfast. We want to accommodate your schedule as much as possible for when you want breakfast. We offer the guideline of breakfast between 7:30 and 9:30. Suite guests will select a complimentary room service time for their romantic breakfast for two. Any guests wishing to be served in the main floor formal dining room will be assigned a time suited to those guests. Our guests will often remark how the fellowship with others around the breakfast table really added to their stay. To us as innkeepers, it is music to our ears to hear laughter and a stream of conversation just filling the dining room. Each breakfast day is unique with what is on the menu and who will be around the table.
Guests can look forward to breakfast selections from the innkeeper’s self-published cookbook. Find a sample of a few guest favorites on our website recipe page. This cookbook is for sale for your take home pleasure. At registration time, we ask if you have any special dietary needs, please inform us well in advance of breakfast so we can do our best to prepare for you.
Early morning coffee and tea are available on the hallway buffet. In season, guests even like to sit out on our wrap-around porch. Enjoy your first cup of coffee and watch the world go by, relax or read.
