Appleton celebrates Craft Beer again this Fall! Similar to the annual Spring Craft Beer Walk, a traditional Craft Beer Walk occurs through the beautiful downtown and riverfront on Saturday, October 23 this year. If you can't join us this Fall, an annual walk occurs each Spring during National Craft Beer Week. Be sure to "Watch for the Date" for the Spring walk which usually takes place in May.
The Event: Enjoy a tasting tour of Wisconsin brewed beers at a variety of establishments within beautiful Downtown and the Riverfront. The event this Fall will be on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 3 – 8 pm. Be sure to check out the line-up at: https://appletondowntown.org/downtown-craft-beer-walk/ The walk will target several establishments and will include 8 stops. Each stop features 3 oz samples of two delicious Wisconsin craft beers.
The Appleton Craft Beer Walk event is designed for both true beer aficionados and novice beer drinkers. Information will be at each stop to educate participants about the styles and attributes of the beers they’re tasting. Participants stroll past unique shopping and dining places while walking from venue to venue. Participants should feel free to stop in and make dinner reservations at the local restaurants for after they finish the walk.
You can purchase tickets on the website or at any participating location while supplies last. Online registration is available at https://appletondowntown.org/downtown-craft-beer-walk/. You will pick your starting point when you register and enjoy your first sample of 2 beers at your starting location. Each ticket includes the two FREE brew samples at each venue on your walk, a commemorative Craft Beer Walk logo glass, and walk wristband (the glass and wristband are both required to receive samples at each stop). The commemorative glass for use that day is also to take home to remember the fun! Follow the event on Facebook for updates.
The Fall Walk is basically a "Create Your Own Route." You create your own route by choosing any 8 stops out of the participating establishments! You don't have to try all the free samples on your tour, but it may be hard to resist! We invite you to just relax and enjoy a leisurely day, relishing some of the best craft beers from across Wisconsin. You may even wish to buy a pint of your new favorite brew and relax a little longer on your walk. You can enjoy a variety of public art as you make your way from venue to venue to taste the variety of craft beers you will encounter. Enjoy our outstanding downtown and riverfront and, of course, truly remarkable craft beers.
